URGENT HELP NEEDED THIS SATURDAYDear BADLRC,
I am Julian Fack, Chair of the BTRDA Sporting Trials Committee.
We are (or hope to be!) running our premier event at Averillside Fam, near Warslow, E of Leek, on Saturday the 19th. Jan, next weekend.
Having seen the weather forecast for the week I am very worried about our ability to access the car park with our road cars and trailers.
The designated car park is the only possibility, as all the roads and tracks in the area have deep ditches and soft verges.
We have no problems with getting our trials cars anywhere, it is just the transporters.
I wonder if a few of your members might be interested in helping us out?
What I have in mind is say 4 Landrovers with good XC tyres (and maybe winches) to be on site for about 90 minutes from about 8.30, complete with strops and other equipment.
We need to drag up to 60 vehicles into the parking field, which is a grass surface, and has a slight uphill gradient off the stone track which leads to the farmhouse.
In view of the forecast it will be very wet and soft underfoot.
I would be willing to reimburse some costs (fuel etc), although, like you, our sport is purely amateur and not sponsored,
